Equity-compensation advisors in Boise

Micron HQ; one of the highest concentrations of semiconductor RSU earners outside California.

What to look for in a Boise advisor

An advisor who works with equity comp does three things a generic advisor doesn't. They model supplemental-withholding gaps before April. They understand the interaction between federal AMT and ID ordinary tax on ISO exercises. And they know which ID trust structures and QSBS stacking strategies actually work versus which are theoretically interesting but administratively fragile.

Fee structure

Most advisors you'll meet through VestedGrant are fee-only. Some charge a flat annual retainer ($5k–$25k depending on complexity). Others charge a percentage of assets under management, usually 0.5%-1.0% with breakpoints above $1M. A few bill hourly for specific planning events. Be skeptical of anyone selling life insurance or annuities as your primary equity-comp solution.

Local tax considerations

ID taxes RSU and NSO income as ordinary at a top rate of 5.8%. Flat 5.8% state tax as of 2023.
